There are three groups of personnel at the Kearney Agricultural Center:
KAC Faculty and Staff: The 24 faculty members permanently stationed at the
Kearney Agricultural Center represent three University of California
campuses: Berkeley, Davis, and Riverside. KAC faculty conduct research and
extension programs in air, land, & water resources, entomology, nematology,
plant pathology, pomology, vegetable crops, viticulture, and weed ecology.
The KAC support staff is made up of an administrative manager,
administrative assistants, a GIS research analyst, a computer
programmer analyst, a computer resource specialist, and a graphic
artist.
Central Valley
Region: One of three regional offices located
throughout the State of California, the Central Valley Region is made
up of 16 counties. The staff located at the Kearney Agricultural Center are
responsible for the administration of the University of California
Cooperative Extension farm advisors and home economists in the 16 counties
within the Central Valley Region.
Kearney Research and Extension Center:
This group of personnel
maintains the physical functions of the Kearney Agricultural Center offices,
laboratories, postharvest facility, greenhouses, and the agricultural field
plots.
