A very effective synthetic pheromone has been developed for citrus leafminer monitoring. One trap will draw in leafminer from some distance and so trap density does not need to be greater than 1 trap per 5 acres in commercial orchards. Citrus nurseries should place traps in higher densities, based on the type of management of the plants.
